Chronicles the ordinary interactions and everyday routines of the Watsons, an African American family living in Flint, Michigan, and how they are drastically changed after they go to visit Grandma in Alabama in the summer of 1963.

When Lucy and Edmund Pensive, along with their cousin Eustace, are swallowed into a painting and transported back to Narnia, they join King Caspian and a noble mouse named Reepicheep aboard the magnificent ship The Dawn Treader. The eccentric owner of toy store surprises Molly, the shop's awkward and insecure manager, by turning over ownership to her. Molly appears to be a reflection of the people who run it. Henry is a detail-oriented accountant assigned the task of assessing the Emporium's monetary value.

Nim is the precocious daughter of scientist father Jack. Nim, a bit older now, still has a gift to be "one with nature" and her amazing animal friends. But now that developers and poachers threaten her island, she and her dad must fight to preserve their pristine home and its abundant wildlife.
